Model Tests with Ella G. - The European Nostalgia
Hello Munich, it’s always nice to be back.
I’ve spent the first half of the day playing stylist. I somehow wanted to pick these outfits out myself, without a team, and get it right - to reflect what I had envisioned 100%. The main accessory - a large white anthurium flower was something I had in mind experimenting with for a while now.
We kicked the shoot off back at my favorite hotel of all time in the city - the 25Hours Hotel.
It’s a chain that became a staple across Germany and Austria, but each property has a distinct character of its own.
Most of the hotels have a Boilerman Bar that also serves as a common area and gathering spot over the hours when the bar is closed. Munich’s design had to include some golden palm trees and burgundy royal attire. The result, however, is a space that looks like the library of one’s dreams and is my go-to, especially over the winter to watch a snowstorm out the castle-like windows.
It worked just as well over the sunnier time of the year - we managed to land the space to ourselves, with just a few curious guests, who were curiously peaking over to what was happening.
These photos make me think of a Great Gatsby remake from the 80s for some reason. There is a similar warm movie-like charm to them, that is both light and bubbly, but with a taste of a strong whiskey.
Cheers!
